How to create a leaflet in Horizon

Leaflet creation in Horizon: Requirements and how-to.

Updated over a month ago

Creating a digital leaflet in Horizon is quick and simple once your product feed and campaign data are set up.

📖 In this guide, we’ll go through:

Before you create a leaflet

iPaper has added your product feed to the account

iPaper will do this for you.

We support valid Google Merchant Feeds that:

This gives Horizon access to your product data, including prices, product descriptions, images and more.

You’ve filled out some campaign data

Campaign data is a static file (CSV or Excel) where you define which products to include in the leaflet and how they should be grouped, shown together and in relation to each other – and much more.

To make this process easier for you, we’ve created a Standard Briefing Data template:

You can find more description and explanation here.

Create a leaflet

1. Upload campaign data and generate your leaflet

Once you’ve filled out the Standard Briefing Data template, go to the Horizon admin

  1. Click the “+ Campaign” button.

  2. Give your campaign an appropriate name.

  3. Select the campaign automation.

  4. Select the leaflet automation.

  5. Upload your campaign data.

  6. Click “Create campaign”.

Within seconds, Horizon will generate a campaign and leaflet.

Note that, if your account has multiple product feeds connected, you will also need to choose the specific feed to be used for campaign creation.

2. Optional: Make manual tweaks

After the automatic creation of the campaign and leaflet, you can go into the editor and make any manual changes that you deem relevant or necessary, such as…

  • Creating Sliders

  • Make elaborate Scenes

  • Adding extra designs

  • And much more

3: Publish the leaflet

If your leaflet is ready to be published:

7. Open the editor, and click “Publish”.

Note that when a leaflet is published, it is accessible on a public, though obscure, URL.

4. Add the leaflet to an Alias

See explanation and instructions here:

If your leaflet isn’t the first leaflet on the Alias, and that Alias has previously been embedded on your site, you don’t need to do anymore. The leaflet will be published to your site at the time specified in the Alias.

It is possible to schedule an unpublished leaflet on an Alias, but that leaflet will not show on your website if left unpublished.

5. If relevant: Embed on your website

If the newly created leaflet is your first leaflet, or you want to have it on a new page, you’ll need to embed it on your site.

To learn how to embed a Horizon leaflet, read more in our technical documentation.
